The directional V-shaped groove design increase the stability of the tyre. The three dimensional sipe design on the shoulder area shortens the braking distance on icy surfaces. The added silica in the tread compound and the directional tread pattern improve the performance of the tyre on ice and snow. The Taiwanese Nankang is one of the oldest most traditional tyre manufacturers in Asia. Nankang has a long history of designing and manufacturing winter tyres for Nordic conditions, and their quality winter tyres have been highly rated by several tyre magazines.
